Customer Service Assistant, Manchester
Breakfast & Day
Hourly Rate: £13
Working Hours: 6am – 12pm Monday - Sunday. 2x shifts per week
Our next-level apartment design offers a variety of studios to suit our residents lives with the privacy of living alone or the laughter of living together. We offer style, luxury & comfort to our residents, surrounded by premium amenities and a vibrant city life. We’re looking for our next Customer Service Assistant to deliver a luxury, home-from-home experience for our residents starting their day with our luxury breakfast offerings.
Our Customer Service Assistant
Provide an exceptional & personalised service to residents by anticipating and delivering to their needs; offering information on local attractions, and handling enquiries with a focus on creating a seamless and positive experience:
- Front of House / Reception; greet and welcome residents and guests with a warm, friendly and vibrant attitude.
- Be on hand for questions which may arise .
- Ensure our facilities are being looked after respectfully by residents & guests.
- Maintain the upkeep of our premium site & facilities; communal areas must be cleaned and maintained to a high standard at all times.
- Be on hand, delivering solutions to issues or challenges that may arise.
- Conduct block walks every 4-6 hours surveying and reporting every area of the building.
- Manage & store parcels correctly to allow students to easily access their deliveries as required.
- Be the primary point of contact for any potential incident or emergency that may occur onsite.
- Maintain waste management areas adhering to health & safety regulations, ensuring potential hazards are addressed / cleaned / tidied / reorganised as required.
Breakfast Specific Requirements
The breakfast period is one of the busiest times at Vita Student. Our Breakfast Customer Service Assistants are responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of breakfast foods in a timely manner, ensuring quality standards are met, while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen workspace, often requiring adherence to food safety regulations and effective communication with the breakfast service team.
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of breakfast foods in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Monitor produce stock levels and communicate needs to the site manager. Assist in ordering produce to maintain appropriate inventory.
- Ensure the kitchen and breakfast areas are clean and tidy
- Deep-clean specific equipment or appliances such as fridges & ovens as required.
- Replenish refreshment stock, such as coffee beans, tea bags, milk and vending machine food products

- We’re not looking for professional cleaners, but need people who can demonstrate a hands-on, proactive approach to maintaining the cleanliness and safety of communal areas.
- A background in a fast-paced kitchen environment with an awareness of kitchen regulations
- Our operations run seamlessly with the support of a variety of technology systems and software; our Customer Service Assistant must be technologically astute.

- Excellent communication skills. English will be the primary spoken language; however multi-lingual skills would be warmly welcomed.

- Able to carry out tasks that may involve extended periods of standing and repetitive movements, with reasonable adjustments considered where required.
- Flexibility: Our facilities are open to residents 24 hours a day, 356 days a year including all bank holidays, festive & religious breaks. Where festive and religious celebrations require time off, we will always try to accommodate, however flexibility from our Customer Service Assistants is imperative to be available as required to ensure continuous service to residents.
